Praying for Your Nation

Join us in praying for your nation and the nations of the earth that the Holy Spirit and the Fire of God will fall transforming your nation. Remember God is already moving, all we need to do is ask.
Max Lucado is right: "Our prayers may be awkward. Our attempts may be feeble. But since the power of prayer is in the one who hears it and not the one who says it, our prayers do make a difference." (James 5:15)

Selah for Today 10-30-2019 - Radical

Radical has different meanings, the most commonly used is associated with political views of extreme change just as the racial left or the radical right. It also means proceeding from the root. Another meaning is: designed to remove the root of a disease or all disease and potentially disease tissue.
Jesus and the believers of the early church were radicals. They called mankind back to a relationship with God and to remove the disease of sin from their lives. They moved in the name of Jesus and the power in the power of the Holy Spirit to bring about change.
When confronted and told to stop in Acts 4:12-22  and Acts 5:28-30 they continued to speak of God's love and salvation. They changed the world with God's love and power.
It is time for us as believers to return to our roots, to become radical. We stand up to those who are yelling at us, "to sit down and shut up or else." It's time for us to say, " We will obey God rather than man." Then go out into the world and change it with God's Love and Power.
 Let's get RADICAL!

Selah for Today 10-24-2019- Freedom

Freedom according to Webster's Dictionary is the quality or state of being free such as the absence of necessity, coercion, or constraint in choice or action. Liberation from slavery.
Freedom is wonderful, but freedom without responsibility always leads back to slavery. When we don't take personal responsibility for our freedoms, someone else will do it for us and that leads to tyranny and slavery. True freedom begins with Christ.

Galatians 5:1(NIV) It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.  1 Corinthians 10:23 (NIV) “I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but not everything is constructive

Selah for Today 10-17-2019- Choose Life

Deuteronomy 30:19-20(NIV) 19 This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life,* so that you and your children may live 20 and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

God gives us a choice and then gives us the answer, "Choose Life". God wants us to choose life in everything we do, say and think. We need in every area of our lives to choose Life. In other words, choose God for He is Life and gives life.
*Boldness added for emphasis.

Selah for Today 10-16-2019 -Stand

One of the definitions of stand: is to agree to be in accord

In Ephesians 6: 10-18, there is stand against the devil's schemes, stand your ground, after doing everything stand and finally stand firm. All of these point to agreeing with and being in accord with God.
I choose to Stand with, Agree with and be in accord with God. Where do You Stand?

Selah for Today 09-04-2019 Step out!

Adventures begin when you step out in faith

Acts 3:5-7 (NKJV)  So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something from them. Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength."

Now that's an Adventure!!!

“Then God said to Abraham, “Your responsibility is to obey the terms of the covenant. You and all your descendants have this continual responsibility.” –Genesis 17:9 (NLT)

Selah for Today 08-30-2019-Justice

Dr. Gary Allen, “The sad reality is that man’s nature desires justice for himself, yet he denies it to others.”
Micah 6:8 (NKJV) He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?
Matthew 22:5-40 Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Selah for Today 08-29-2019- Think!

It’s not what happens TO YOU, but IN YOU that shapes You.
Proverbs 23:7 (NKJV)  For as he thinks in his heart, so is he... and Romans 12:2

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Selah for Today 08-26-2019-Forgive

To forgive is to set a prisoner free and discover that the prisoner was you.” (1) –Lewis B. Smedes
When you forgive, the very chemical structure of the brain changes from the negative to the positive affecting the entire thinking/memory building process (2) –Dr. Caroline Leaf

Matthew 6:14 (NKJV) “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  Romans 12:2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Selah for Today 08-23-2019-Life

“Life is a marathon, not a sprint. The race doesn’t go to the swiftest, but to those who don’t give up.” O. Hillman
Hebrews 12:1-2 (NKJV) Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the [a]author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God

Selah for 08-15-2019-Overwhelmed

Feeling overwhelmed, take a walk along a beach or in the woods, stop and look at the wonders of God's creation. Then, exalt and praise the Lord for what He has done.

Romans 1:19-20 (NIV) since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, ...
