Selah for Today 10-31-2019 - Manifest
Manifest means: 1) clear or obvious to the eye or mind. 2) display or show by one's acts or appearance, demonstrate.
Galatians 4:6-7(NIV) Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba,[b] Father.” 7 So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.
We are to manifest (demonstrate) who we are the sons and daughters of God. We do this by manifesting God's love, forgiveness, and power to everyone.

Selah for Today 10-16-2019 -Stand
One of the definitions of stand: is to agree to be in accord
In Ephesians 6: 10-18, there is stand against the devil's schemes, stand your ground, after doing everything stand and finally stand firm. All of these point to agreeing with and being in accord with God.
I choose to Stand with, Agree with and be in accord with God. Where do You Stand?

Selah for Today 08-30-2019-Justice
Dr. Gary Allen, “The sad reality is that man’s nature desires justice for himself, yet he denies it to others.”
Micah 6:8 (NKJV) He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God? Matthew 22:5-40 Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?”37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

False Perfectionism
A few weeks ago, my family and I decided to
visit a local church, just to go be refreshed. When we arrived, we learned
Pastor Chris was not ministering that day. But, his wife, the co-pastor and
first lady would be preaching.
Pastor Shelia. Said, “That was a Sunday full
of surprises. First, God gave her a new message to preach that morning. The
second, (looking directly at me) she said, “There is a prophet in the house.”
Then the Pastor Shelia walked over to me and said, “Prophet you did not come
here just to sit. I am sorry I can’t remember your name (this was fine we had
met for the first time the week before).” After I told her my name, said,
“After I finish, I am going to turn the mike over to you minister as the Lord
leads.” My wife said, “Are you sure you want to do that?” Everyone laughed.
In a few
minutes, Pastor Shelia handed me the mike.
The Prophetic Words began to flow, first was the word for this hour,
“God is Moving in the Moment,” then there was a word for the church, some
individual words, a word for Pastors Chris and Shelia.
I thought the Lord was done, when the Lord
said, “Just one more thing. You all have seen what has happened in the past two
years with destruction of people’s lives for things they did 20, or 30 years
ago. Even the accusations of something has brought destruction. This is a
strategy of the enemy called, False Perfectionism.” This is how the enemy works,
he is the accuser of our brothers and sisters, Revelation 12:10. The examples
of this are the recent Supreme Court confirmation hearings. Another example is
when someone posted something years ago on Facebook or Twitter and it is
revealed. Then, their lives and their families are destroyed.
The Lord
continued to say, “False Perfectionism is that someone must be perfect, or they
are disqualified from serving. Its
purpose is two-fold. First is keep good people from answering the call to serve
this nation. The enemy knows that these good people would oppose his plans to
destroy this nation. Everyone has things in their past that the enemy uses for
this purpose.
The second is to destroy lives.” At that
moment the Lord gave me a vision, I was in an office. There was a man there,
who had lost hope because of his past, He opened the desk drawer and pulled out
a gun and put it in his mouth. The vision ended.
The Lord continued to speak, “The enemy has
done this my church for years and has now launched this strategy into the
nation with a vengeance.
I have given my church weapons to defeat
this strategy. First, you must remember and remind others there is no one who
is perfect except for my Son Jesus. Second, tell them that the blood of the
Lamb removes all sin. Third, you must walk in forgiveness and mercy. Leave the
judging up to me.”
God
has revealed this strategy of the enemy and He has given us powerful weapons. These
weapons are Ephesians 6, the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God and
Revelation 12:11, the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony. We need
to bold, in showing the forgiveness of God to each other and the to world.

The Prophets’ Reward
I had never really thought about the Prophets’ Reward, until one day a lady that the Lord spoke to though me, gave me a bottle of water. She said, “What I had spoken a week or two before has rapidly been coming to pass.” She wanted to give me a bottle of water for the prophets’ reward. I thanked her and went on my way, still not thinking much about it.
Later, that night, the prophets’ reward came to me again and I began to meditate on it. The next day I opened an e-mail from Jane Hamon, the title was “The Time of The Prophets’ Reward.”
At this point, the Spirit leaped in me and I said to myself, “I guess I am supposed to teach on the prophet's reward.” I began a search for the phrase, “prophet’s reward” in the Bible and found only four places where it was mentioned. It is mentioned by Jesus in Matthew 10:40-42 when he sent out the twelve disciples. Jesus also mentions a great reward for those who believe are persecuted just the prophets, in Matthew 5:11-13 and Luke 6:23. Both are mentioned in The Beatitudes at the start of the Sermon on the Mount. The last place mentioned is about the 24 elders in Revelation 11:18 “…and for rewarding your servants the prophets and your people who revere your name, both great and small."
The prophet’s reward is great and you will not lose it. We have two examples first is Elijah and the widow at Zarephath in 1 Kings 17. After her statement of the facts, the widow does what Elijah says and there is a supernatural continuous provision. Then her son dies and a is bought back to life by Elijah. A great reward of provision and restoration of life. The second is in 2 Kings 4:8-36 Elisha and Shunammite woman. The woman served the prophet and received a great reward. She received life and had a son. Then years later the child dies and Elisha restores life to her reward. So we see the prophets’ reward is one of supernatural provision and an impartation of the life of God into their lives.
If God’s provision and life are all there is to the prophets’ reward that would be more than enough. But there is more.
The greatest reward is the relationship with God. Matthew 10:40-42, when you receive a prophet you are receiving God himself. When the Word is spoken by a prophet, you are receiving far more than just provision and life, you are opening a life-changing relationship with God that you will not lose.
The greatest reward is the relationship with God. Matthew 10:40-42, when you receive a prophet you are receiving God himself. When the Word is spoken by a prophet, you are receiving far more than just provision and life, you are opening a life-changing relationship with God that you will not lose.
Receiving is more than just hearing a prophetic word, there is also doing. The widow and Shunammite woman did something. They activated the word in their lives. Sadly, many people hear a word and do nothing with it. True receiving is you taking action. Action starts by believing and praying over the word. Then, when the opportunities to do, then do, step out, even a small step is a beginning. Then, the prophetic word and the prophets' reward are yours and will not be lost.

Who Are You? Part 4
Romans 8:14-16 Amplified Bible (AMP) 14For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.15For [the Spirit which] you have now received [is] not a spirit of slavery to put you once more in bondage to fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption [the Spirit producing sonship] in [the bliss of] which we cry, Abba (Father)! Father! 16The Spirit Himself [thus] testifies together with our own spirit, [assuring us] that we are children of God.
Galatians 4:5-7Amplified Bible (AMP) 5To purchase the freedom of (to ransom, to redeem, to atone for) those who were subject to the Law, that we might be adopted and have sonship conferred upon us [and be recognized as God's sons].6And because you [really] are [His] sons, God has sent the [Holy] Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, Abba (Father)! Father! 7Therefore, you are no longer a slave (bond servant) but a son; and if a son, then [it follows that you are] an heir by the aid of God, through Christ.
These verses plus many more show us that we are God’s Family. We are His sons and daughters. This is who we are. We have full and unrestricted access to the Father. This is a powerful relationship. We can enter God’s presence any time we want and just the Throne Room (a place of petitions) but we have the run of the house. We can go into all the rooms of the house. The great thing is there will always be more and more rooms to explore, for our Father has a big house, bigger than we can imagine. We can roam the gardens; play in the Pools of Life created by the River of Life.
We roam the various mountain ranges of the kingdom and eat of the never-ending supply of food, which is there for us to enjoy.
Best of all is spending time with the Father. God desires us to spend time with him and He smiles when we come through the door and ask to be with Him. This was the purpose of creation, that God would have a family and that we, by our own free will would choose to love him and to spend time with him. This above all else is why mankind was created. He created us in his image for this purpose so we could enjoy each other forever. One of the great and wonderful mysteries of this is, it is always one on one, just you and the Father and it can be the same for every person in the universe at the same time if they desire it.
We must also remember that our Father, is the LORD GOD, THE CREATOR, THE ALL-POWERFUL KING OF ALL, who is from everlasting to everlasting. We must honor and worship Him as such.
As we realize this relationship of being a child of God, everything we do, being a servant, a king, a priest, and friend all flow out of this relationship. We operate in various positions in the kingdom with the proper attitude of love. We don’t do things because we have to; we do them because we want to, out of our love for our Father. This loving relationship between us, as children with God our Father, opens the door for revelations and experiences beyond what we can ever imagine.
So, begin to think of yourself and see yourself as God our Father sees you, as His child whom He loves and wants to spend time with. Father God wants to share with all that has with you. He wants to reveal himself to you. Then you will have a life full and overflowing and you can answer the question, “Who are You?”

Who You Are

Who Are You Part 3
In
part 1 of Who Are You, we looked at the servant. In part 2 we looked at the
kings and priest. All of these have varying degrees of relationship with God.
The next level of relationship is that of a friend.
A friend as defined by Webster’s Dictionary is: 1a: one attached to another by affection
or esteem b: acquaintance
2 a: one that is
not hostile b: one that
is of the same nation, party, or group 3: one that favors
or promotes something (as a charity) 4: a favored companion
Enoch was
one such person in Genesis 5:22-24Amplified Bible (AMP) 22Enoch
walked [in habitual fellowship] with God after the birth of Methuselah 300
years and had other sons and daughters.23So all the days of Enoch
were 365 years.24And Enoch walked [in habitual fellowship] with God;
and he was not, for God took him [home with Him].
This is an amazing friendship with God. This same type of relationship is mentioned of Noah in Genesis 6:8-9.
In
Genesis 18:3 Abraham
refers to himself as a servant, but God calls Abraham his friend in Genesis
18:17. This shown by the discussion that follows a friend is allowed debate a
decision and servant is not.
Jesus speaks of friendship and the difference
between friends and servants in John 15:15 I do not call you servants (slaves) any longer, for the servant does not know
what his master is doing (working out). But I have called you My friends
because I have made known to you
everything that I have heard from My Father. [I have revealed to you everything that I have
learned from Him.]
A friend has
a closer relationship than a servant, a priest or king, but a friend can be any
of these as well. But there are limits in the relationship of a friend and
access to the house. There are parts of a house that is for the family and for the family only. The good news is we are
in the family of God.
We will look at Family of God in the 4th
and final part of this series coming soon.

Who Are You Part 2
In Part 1, we
discussed being the servant and the attitude of a servant that keeps us from
becoming who we truly are in Christ. The key to remember is that God’s grace
still keeps us and God sees us as we ready are, no matter how we think and see
ourselves. Abram saw himself as a servant, God called him a friend.
This part of
the teaching we shall look at ourselves as kings and priests. The scriptures
for this are:
